Applying through the Disability Confident Scheme
We are very proud to be a Disability Confident leader. If you have a disability, you can choose to apply through the Disability Confident Scheme (DCS). This means that if your application meets the essential criteria for the role, we will guarantee you an interview, as part of our commitment to fair and inclusive recruitment.
To apply through the scheme, simply tick the DCS box on the Equality of Opportunity section of your application. You can also let us know if you need any adjustments to be made to the interview/selection process.
If you prefer not to apply through the scheme, just leave the box unticked. Your application will still be considered fairly, along with all other applicants.

Reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process
If you would like to discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to the application process, please get in touch with our recruitment team.
Adjustments could include, but are not limited to, availability of job descriptions and application forms in different formats such as large print or braille; correspondence or anything you may need when visiting us for an interview (for example, additional time for those with dyslexia); a job coach to attend and support you or the provision of assistive technology.
Disclosing your disability
There is no legal obligation for you to disclose that you have a disability (unless there are very specific health and safety risks). However, you may wish to inform your Recruitment Coordinator of your disability if you are shortlisted for interview, so we can support you and ensure any reasonable adjustments are put in place.

The effectiveness of extensions can vary depending on your individual needs and preferences so it's best to try them out to see which ones work best for you.

Our campus and city buildings are disability friendly with lifts and ramps for ease of access to wheelchair users. We have multiple disabled parking bays across our car parks which are available to staff.
